Tijuana Mexico

This past weekend we were fortunate enough to be able to visit Baja Bible School in Tijuana, Mexico. Alongside our friends we worked hard putting up drywall, painting, cementing and putting in cabinets. It was an awesome opportunity to serve our fellow believers as well as allow our children to see service first hand. Plus the tacos were AWESOME!!

Double Trouble

We have heard many parents say, "When you hear nothing then something is up." Or in our case Hailey is up to something. Little munchkin has discovered the large cold toy chest....the fridge! Her and Gracie have managed to empty the bottom drawers and shelves! It seems that most the time Hailey is the instigator and Gracie is the innocent bystander waiting for some precious morsel to fall! We are learning to enjoy every minute with our Hailey, waiting for what she discovers next...and cleaning up the messes later!

This last weekend Joe and I spent the day at the zoo with our little Hailey. We weren't quite sure how she was going to react. We thought that maybe she would be too young to realize what she was seeing. But to our surprise as we walked through the zoo she couldn't take her eyes off the different animals. We walked through the zoo with a wide eyed little girl who was acting more like a toddler than a 9 month old!!! As we walked by the pandas she started waving to them, we told her how God created the giant pandas. She laughed at the otters swimming in their pond making bubbles and splashing in the water! Joe carried her around on his shoulders most of the time so she could see above the crowds. Seeing Hailey with her daddy is an amazing thing. To think how much we love this child, and that our Heavenly Father loves us more than that! I can't even imagine. I cherish these moments, their smiles and laughs. Each one a blessing. A glimpse into the Heavenly Kingdom!

Hailey's first Christmas was amazing. She played so hard on Christmas Eve that she slept almost the entire day on Christmas. She had so much fun being with all the aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandparents...and even her Great Grandma. The most exciting gift she received this year was a big....box!!! Oh how she loved to just stand there and laugh and play with all the paper! It is nice that she is so easy to please! I will post some more pics for you all, but am working all weekend. So hold out to Monday!!!

Christmas Pictures!

This will be Hailey's first Christmas! So in an attempt to capture it on film Joe, Hailey and I joined our best friends, the Cuellars, and starting snapping away! We got some great pictures! Hailey is such a little ham, the moment she sees a camera she immediately poses! She makes picture taking so much fun! We even captured Hannah and Hailey sharing a special "moment" together!! We are thankful for our friends taking the time to take our family photos!! Merry Christmas!!

Once you have a baby everyone, and I mean everyone will begin to tell you who they think the baby looks like. You will hear she looks like you, like dad, like great aunt sally with the funny looking toes...yes you hear it all!! In one day Joe and I will hear that she is a spitting image of her daddy and the next person who walks by will say she looks like her mommy!! Well I think we have solved the mystery! This Thanksgiving I had to work, but Joe and Hailey spent the day in Hermosa Beach with her Papa Santilli. After seeing this picture we have no doubt whose smile she has!! Like Papa like Granddaughter!!
